Juggling Your Life

By Garrick Ang

I received an email from my wife the other day about a shortest speech from a former CEO of a multi national beverage company.

The message goes like this:

“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. They are work, family, health, friends and spirit and your are keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that Work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same, you must understand that and strive for it.

Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give required time to your Family, Friends and have proper rest.”

“Value has a value if only it’s value is valued.”

I said wow! Timely message for today’s world were we keep juggling our time, mind and energy in the life of the twenty first century. Juggling between relationship, family and career is a norm and it seems that it became a public perspective on how we keep our life in sync with all the factors in one’s life. Juggling, as a 1990s metaphor, comes to stand for the attempt to attain a state of dynamic equilibrium in which several ongoing commitments are kept in balance through constant effort.

The other night, Jesus spoke to me on a dream and my dream goes like these:

Jesus said to me “I love you” and if you are juggling (struggling) with your life, I am (Jesus) the Way, the Truth and the life”.

If we have Jesus as the center of our life, while we are juggling with Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit, Jesus is the invisible shield around us that cushion us whenever one or all of them will fall. He (Jesus) will make sure it will bounce back un-scuffed, un-marked, un-nicked, un-damaged or even un-shattered. He will also shield us from the distraction of this world, from our enemy satan that we will be on the right path. And the best of all, He save us, the juggler, from eternal death of the Spirit.

If you are juggling (Struggling) with your life today, accept Jesus into your heart and let Him juggle your life to His love, comfort and life.

God bless you all!
